ENNOUR
Dr Samir Ennour has over 30 years international experience in the mining industry. After a brief spell in geotechnical research and overseas assignments, Samir founded Mecater Ingénierie in 1997, an engineering and environmental consultancy primarily serving the mining industry.
Samir’s specialist expertise covers the areas of mining, geology, geotechnics, groundwater and the environment. He has led numerous international mining projects at various stages of development in Asia, Europe and Africa. He has experience in both the design and construction of surface and underground excavations, tailings storage facilities, waste dumps, haulage roads, water dams and associated structures, as well as mine site rehabilitation and environmental studies.
GABSI
Master in Water Management, INAT Hydraulic, Tunisia
Sofien is a water and geotechnical engineering specialist having an experience of 20 years in the fields of mining and water management. He has been involved in the design and supervision of mining infrastructure projects mainly in Africa, Asia and New Caledonia.
He has participated in several mining studies for multinationals mining companies as GLENCORE, VALE, ERAMET and IMERYS. His experience covers the design of open pit slopes, mine waste dumps, tailings storage facilities, water dams, access roads and other ground structures.
JAMELLEDDINE
Ghassen has 13 years experience in the design and construction supervision of mining infrastructure and water management projects. He has been involved in a number mining projects including Koniambo Nickel ore mine and Tiebaghi Nickel ore mine in New Caledonia and working for clients Vale NC, SLN, KNS and NMC. His experience covers the design of the open pits, waste dumps, tailings and water storage facilities and access roads. Ghassen intervenes also in the design of water management structures as well as hydrological and hydro- geological studies. Currently he’s the project manager for Mecater’s projects in New Caledonia.
Boughanmi
Okba is a tailings specialist having an experience of 10 years in the mining industry. He has been involved in the design, supervision and implementation of surveillance, inspection, monitoring, and maintenance manuals for tailings storage facilities, mainly in Africa, Asia and New Caledonia.
He has participated in several mining studies for multinationals mining companies as ERAMET, VALE and OCP. His experience covers tailings storage facilities design and supervision in compliance with regulatory requirements, HSEC Standards, and relevant guidelines.
JAZIRI
Bilel is a financial accountant with 10 years of experience within the construction and mining business sectors. His responsibilities include cashflow and asset management, invoicing, accounts payables and receivables. Bilel has good experience in capital planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, quality control to international standards.
In addition to his financial role, Bilel assumes the responsibilities for human resources management including recruiting, employee relations and training. He also acts as administrator of the company’s office, which counts 40 staff and assumes responsibility for managing the company’s IT infrastructure and real estate assets.
GHARBI
Khoubeib has over 10 years experience in design, construction and project management of geotechnical and mining projects in New Caledonia and Africa.
Currently he is working as Owner’s Representative of a global manganese operations in Gabon. Khoubeib has extensive experience in excavations and earthworks, mine water management, ore haulage and conveying, tailings and waste management, sites closure and rehabilitation, mine services facilities construction. He is also involved in designs review, costing/budget optimization, tendering, evaluation of suppliers and subcontractors, schedules challenging, QA/QC and QCP/ITPs audits and management with contractors.

Monia is a water and geotechnical engineer having an experience of 10 years in design and construction supervision of mining infrastructure and water management projects. She has been with Mecater Ingénierie since 2011 where she has been involved in mining, water and infrastructure projects for several mining companies as VALE, ERAMET, KNS, NMC, DETOUR LAKE and IMERYS. Her experience covers the design of open pit slopes, mine waste dumps, tailings storage facilities, water dams, access roads and other ground structures. Monia intervenes also in the design of water management structures as well as hydrological and hydro-geological studies.
Kasdallah
Civil Engineering Degree, National School of Engineers Tunis-Tunisia
Mariem is an experienced Project Manager with more than 10 years’ experience in the design road infrastructure covering a wide range of projects in Tunisia, Cameroun, Togo, Ivory Coast and French Guinea.
She currently holds the post of Project Manager within Mecater Ingénierie, leading roads projects with the company.
Mariem is a civil engineer with sound knowledge of methods and techniques of road design and broad knowledge of planning and preparing road designing specifications and construction process.
Khodja
Civil Engineering Degree, National Engineering School of Tunis, Tunisia
Ezzeddine Khodja has 12 years’ experience in working on the geotechnical aspects of mining ground structures, water dams, harbours, and breakwaters including shoreline protection design, pile design and supervision, dredging, retaining walls, shoring and ground improvement. Ezzeddine worked as geotechnical resident engineer for the construction of Musaimeer pumping station and outfall project in Doha where he was involved in the daily supervision of nearshore geotechnical and geophysical investigations as per British and American standards.He was also involved in the geotechnical campaigns planning and supervision, piling design, slope stability design, shoring design, ground improvement design in maritime, infrastructure and civil engineering projects in Tunisia, Middle East and Africa.
HAJRI
Mehdi has been with Mecater Ingénierie since 2010 where he has been involved in mining, water and infrastructure projects.
His work experience is gainded both in the office and on site and covers design of water management structures, hydrological and hydrogeological studies, mine waste dumps and earthworks. Mahdi has worked on mining projects in New Caledonia, Gabon, Indonesia and France.
He has been on extended assignments with mining companies in New Caledonia, Gabon and Indonesia (Vale NC, SLN, NMC, COMILOG, Weda Bay Nickel).
BOULEYMENE
Seyda is an environmental engineer with 11 years of experience in waste management and environmental projects. She started her professional career as a coordination engineer with a company specializing in waste management then as project manager responsible for dangerous waste management projects. She has been with Mecater Ingénierie since 2019 and has worked on projects in Tunisia, Gabon and French Guyana. The main projects cover environmental impact studies, hazard/risk assessment studies for mining sites. She has also been involved in design and rehabilitation of several landfill sites, including design of biogas management system in controlled landfills.
HOUES
Civil Engineering Degree, National School of Engineers Tunis-Tunisia
Habib is a geotechnical/civil engineer with 12 years professional experience gained within the construction, mining and maritime engineering. He started his career as a site engineer involved in the construction projects of industrial buildings in Tunisia. Since joining Mecater Ingénierie in 2011, he has been involved in studies for multinational companies including EGIS, VALE and ERAMET. His experience covers the design of retaining structures, tunnels, reinforced slopes, waste and tailings storage facilities, foundations. Mastery of specialised software in geotechnical engineering and structure (PLAXIS, TALREN, GEOFOND, GEOROK, ROBOT etc.)
Yahiaoui
Civil Engineering Degree, National School of Engineers Tunis-Tunisia
Sara has 10 years professional experience in geotechnical and civil engineering. She has been involved in the design and supervision of infrastructure and mining projects in Tunisia and internationally. Her experience covers open pit slope design, mine waste dumps, waste and tailings storage facilities road design, planning and supervision of geotechnical investigations, design of foundations, retaining structures and slope stability.
She is a proficient user geotechnical and structure software packages (Plaxis, Talren, Geofond, ROBOT, Alize).
SFAXI
Fadhel is a geotechnical engineer with 12 years’ experience in mining and industrial infrastructure engineering. Between 2011 and 2014 Fadhel was the on-site supervisor for the earthworks associated with the metallurgic complex construction, as part of the Moanda Manganese Mine in Gabon. Works included preparatory earthworks for the plant, water deviation structures, access roads, tailings storage facilities and waste dump. Between 2015 and 2020, he was the mining project manager in charge of Mecater’s projects in Gabon, Ivory Coast, France, Canada and Guyana. Currently, he is on extended assignments with Vale NC in New Caledonia.
Askri
Seif is a water engineer with an experience of 6 years in the fields of mining and water management. He has been involved in a number of international mining, water and infrastructure projects. His work experience covers, design of water management structures, hydrological and hydraulic studies as well as site supervision. He has worked on projects in New Caledonia, Gabon, Congo, Tunisia, Morocco and Niger. He is a proficient user of hydraulic software packages (Arcgis, Hecras, Goldsim, Global mapper). He has participated in several mining studies for multinationals mining companies as VALE, ERAMET and IMERYS.
Latrach
Riadh is an experienced design engineer with 22 years’ experience. He has good experience in the design and supervision mining projects, including earthworks, waste dumps, tailings dams, water drainage. Riadh has worked on projects in Tunisia and on international projects in New Caledonia, Gabon, France and Indonesia.
In 2014, he was involved in the supervision of waste dump construction SMLT in GORO in New Caledonia. He has good mastery of technical software including: AutoCAD 2D/3D, Covadis, Talren, Mapinfo, ArcView, Surfer, Mensura, Skutchup.
Khelifi
Abdessattar is a senior design technician with 30 years’ experience. He has good experience in the design and supervision mining projects, including earthworks, waste dumps, tailings dams, water drainage.
Abdessattar has worked on projects in Tunisia and on international projects in Tunisia, France and several African countries. He has good mastery of technical software including AutoCAD 2D/3D, Covadis, Talren, Mapinfo, ArcView, Surfer, Mensura, Skutchup
